Erimus Housing is continuing to deliver a programme of modernisation and improvement work to provide all tenants with housing that not only meets their needs but is also the first choice for rented accommodation in Middlesbrough.
A £103m repair and improvement programme ensured that tenants' homes met the government's Decent Homes target by the end of 2010.
The modernisation work to homes is an ongoing process and the improvement work to homes will continue throughout the coming year and beyond.
The extent of the work carried out to homes will depend upon the findings of a survey carried out by an Erimus Housing inspector, who will assess the age and condition of every home's fixtures and fittings. Where needed, new fittings will be installed as part of the modernisation work and internal and external property repairs may be carried out at the same time.
