Teenage Tenants

TEENAGERS have been given a taste of life as a tenant through a special scheme.
Members of Erimus Housing’s Homeless and Advice team attended a special event at Newlands School to teach groups of students about living life on their own.
Through workshops and quizzes, the teenagers learned how much it costs to live alone, as well as the benefits and pitfalls.
Susie Thompson, Director of Housing, said: “Many young people are keen to leave home and start life on their own.
“We want to work with these youths to help them learn the reality of being in that situation.”
