Money Matters
HAVE you ever tried to open a bank account or get a loan from a bank or building society and been turned down? Are you worried about debt or the amount of interest you are paying? Do you have rent arrears? Do you find the benefits system hard to understand?
If you said yes to any of the above, Erimus Housing will soon be able to help you. We are currently working in partnership with a local Community Development Finance Institution (CDFI) to develop a range of services including:
- Money management and debt advice
- Housing and other benefits advice
- Assistance in accessing bank accounts and saving schemes
- Affordable home contents insurance
- Access to loans at affordable rates
Through our Resident Involvement team, we will be asking you to help us design a range of products to meet your needs.
We aim to help you access appropriate financial products, give you the opportunity to make informed decisions about your finances and organise your money more effectively, so that you can:
- Budget effectively to make ends meet
- Reduce debt and start saving
- Pay less for services such as gas and electricity
- Plan for the future
The service will be free and confidential, and is expected to be launched in the summer of 2007. For more information, contact Steve Miller on 01642 773600 ext. 738.
