Laying the Foundations for a Brighter Future

Ravendale Road

MIDDLESBROUGH’S largest landlord is set to dig in to help build the future of the town.

Erimus Housing is branching out to build its very first new homes on Ravendale Road in Priestfields.

The exciting project will see the building of four properties that will become the prototype for future development schemes for the
housing association.

Two three bedroom houses and two two bedroom bungalows will be built during the project, which starts on Monday 24th July.

Erimus Housing is investing around £400,000 developing the house types, which will feature en-suite bathrooms, utility rooms and private parking.

The properties have been designed by architects P&HS, will be project managed by Elliott Dent and built by Kendall Cross.

Debbie Williams, who lives close to the development site, said: “It is a good use of space and the plans look great, they seem very appropriate.

“I will look forward to seeing the homes finished to see what they look like.”

Erimus Housing currently owns more than 11,000 homes, which were transferred from Middlesbrough Council in November 2004.

The new properties, due to be completed early next year, will be rented out and are due to be in high demand.

Bob Brady, Chair of the Board for Erimus Housing, said: “This is a very exciting project for us because it marks the building of the first of many new homes we want to provide in Middlesbrough and the Tees Valley.

“Although we are modernising our existing homes, we are also aware that people’s needs are changing and we need to provide new accommodation for the next generation of Erimus tenants.”
