Creating Chances

EMPLOYEES from Erimus Building Services (EBS) have received special praise after giving young people a taste of life in their trades at a unique event.
Middlesbrough Football Club thanked EBS after students tried their hand at skills including bricklaying and joinery at the Creating Chances day at the club’s Eston Sports Academy.
Players Luke Young and Andrew Taylor joined the young people to have a go at the trades, with help from operatives from EBS and our mobile exhibition unit.
Demonstrations in building a wall, basic wiring and building a bird box gave the students the chance to have some hands-on experience
Erimus joined the event as part of our Erimus Futures scheme, which aims to raise the aspirations of young people.
The day was also part of Creating Chances, part of the Premier League’s initiative to showcase the good work undertaken by football clubs and local businesses in their communities.
The Price is Right and Ready Steady Cook were also on the menu for students attending the event.
The event received worldwide coverage including on Sky TV, local radio and the Evening Gazette.
