LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!

ERIMUS Housing tenants have become stars of the small screen after featuring in a special 15 minute film. A group of residents is helping get the message across to other tenants in the new video and DVD- 'Your Homes Modernisation.'

The film has been made for people due to have modernisation work carried out to their homes and explains the process, as well as how to prepare and a step-by-step guide.

Part of the video, filmed by a professional crew, shows workers in tenants' homes, to explain exactly what they can expect.

Tenants whose homes have already been modernised star in the film, giving their real life experiences of having their home improved and being part of the £105m scheme.

Andrea Wheatley, who stars in the film said '"I wanted to take part in the making of the film to help people understand what it's like to live in your home during the modernisation work, and to let people know they will be totally satisfied."

The videos and DVDs are now being given out during consultation events, where tenants whose homes are due to undergo the process learn more about the scheme.

Chris Smith, Director of Regeneration for Erimus Housing, said: "We want to ensure our residents understand exactly what will happen if their home is to undergo work and exactly what they can do to ensure the process runs smoothly."
