We are pleased to launch our first sustainability strategy and action plan; a comprehensive and wide ranging document that looks at environmental issues in a very diverse context.
Reducing our carbon footprint and the impact our business has on the environment is one of our key priorities.
However we also believe that sustainability issues link closely to other social and economic benefits that we can bring to our tenants and stakeholders.
That’s why our boards, employees, partners and stakeholders have helped us shape this strategy and action plan and we have developed a five year approach that will see us achieve significant progress against our green agenda targets.
These could be providing super efficient homes to live in, creating cleaner and greener places to live or promoting the use of local goods and services.
Much of our progress also depends on working together with our partners and the influence we can bring to other key groups.
The strategy underpins our green agenda and identifies our commitment to the future sustainable development of our business and communities.
The green agenda is embedded at the core of our business, influencing the way we operate now, as well as in the future.
