Erimus Housing has joined the Compass Choice Based Lettings (CBL) scheme. Choice based lettings is a new way of letting housing that gives customers more choice about where they want to live. Available properties are advertised by all the partners across the sub-region, enabling customers to view and express an interest (bid) for properties in all of these areas.
Tandem advisers offer free, confidential help and support on a wide range of general money matters. Tandem is open to all Erimus Housing customers.
Tandem can help you to claim your full benefit entitlement, deal with any debts, including rent arrears, compare loan costs and access affordable loans, budget, save and find ways to make your money go further, choose a bank account or other financial services such as home contents insurance and help you get specialist help and advice.
Safe in Tees Valley Independent Living
Erimus Housing and Safe in Tees Valley Learn & Let Live programme is delivered in partnership with a range of local services. Learn & Let Live provides a programme for young people in Middlesbrough between the ages of 16 and 24 who are identified ‘at risk’ of homelessness or ready to move into Independent Living, access to information, advice & guidance and the opportunity to attend a 12 week accredited courses with additional one to one support/ signposting and referral to services.
Consumer Credit Counselling Service
If you are struggling to pay back debts - you are not alone. The Consumer Credit Counselling Service is a charity that has been providing free debt help for over 15 years. Their skilled counsellors will listen to your concerns and offer you appropriate advice that is always in your best interests. You can also access help online by going to CCCS Debt Remedy where you can plan your budget and get an assessment of your financial situation.
Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) are regulated by the TSA and this website contains useful information for tenants, including your rights as an RSL tenant. Current government policy on social housing can be found here, including a guide to tenant participation etc.
Tenant Participation Advisory Service
The Tenant Participation Advisory Service is a non-profit making organisation made up from tenants' groups, local authorities and Registered Social Landlords (RSL's) that provides information, advice, training and consultancy to tenants on all matters involved in housing management.
Middlesbrough Partnership is the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) for Middlesbrough. The Partnership focuses on improving the way local services are planned and delivered in the town. It brings together key organisations and communities to work together to improve life for people who live in, work in or visit Middlesbrough. Residents are involved in all areas of the Partnership.
