What is Hate Crime?

Hate crime is any incident in which you or anyone else is targeted because they or you are believed to be different because of:

• Race
• Religion or belief
• Sexual orientation
• Gender identity
• Disability

Incidents may involve verbal abuse, harassment, attacks, damage to your property, bullying and graffiti.

You can report any hate crime by contacting the Enforcement Officer for your area, as shown below on the customer services helpline 08000 461600 between the hours of 8:30 – 5pm.
