What is Hate Crime?
Hate crime is any incident in which you or anyone else is targeted because they or you are believed to be different because of:
- Race
- Religion or belief
- Sexual orientation
- Gender identity
- Disability
Incidents may involve verbal abuse, harassment, attacks, damage to your property, bullying and graffiti.
Erimus works closely with other organisations to tackle hate crime. You can report any hate crime by clicking here.
When completing the linked form you have the opportunity to give contact details. If you leave this section blank there will be no further contact from Erimus Housing or the police.
Why Report It?
The self-reporting system allows you as the victim, witness, parent, carer or any concerned person to report an incident to the police by giving us as little or as much personal information as you wish.
By filling in this form you will:
Enable the police and partnership agencies to build up patterns of behaviour, highlight areas of concern and provide us with a 'True Vision' of hate crime within your community.
Without the details:
The report will be used for monitoring purposes to get a true vision of what is happening.
With your details:
The incident can be investigated fully and you can be given the service you deserve and the support you need.
You can also report any hate crime by contacting the Enforcement Officer for your area, as shown below on the customer services helpline 08000 461600.
