Mike Carr has lived in Middlesbrough all his life. He is a retired teacher and has been involved in local government for many years. He also has experience of other public bodies at local and national level. He is keen to ensure that Erimus Housing delivers real improvements to houses and the environment in Middlesbrough.
Brian is a retired housing professional, being a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing. Brian is married with four sons and includes watercolour painting and supporting Newcastle United FC as hobbies. Brian is also a school governor. He is particularly interested in the provision of new homes.
He is the Vice Chair of Erimus Housing as well as Chair of the Operations and Development Committee and member of Optimus Homes Board.
Since retiring as the Senior Youth and Community officer working in East Middlesbrough Bob went on to retire from Middlesbrough after being a member of the Council for 33 years.
During that time he held various positions including Chair of Housing for 16 years, chair of various scrutiny boards and finally serving as the appointed deputy to the elected Mayor of Middlesbrough for five years.
He was very active on the national and regional scene being chair of the National Housing & Town Planning Council, the Housing Centre Trust as well the Regional Assembly and North East Association of Councils.
He chaired the Shadow Board of Erimus Housing and was elected chair of the board on the creation of that company. On the formation of the Fabrick Housing Group he was elected chair and continues in that post to date.
Jose, a HR Director and independent human resources advisor, is also a visiting lecturer at Newcastle University. Jose has specialist mentoring and coaching skills, as well as being a successful trainer and brings her knowledge of diversity leadership and effective cross cultural work to the Board.
Jose is one of the Erimus board members who are part of the Fabrick Group’s Audit and Risk Committee.
Sarah has spent nearly twenty years working in a variety of regeneration roles and currently works for Durham County Council with responsibility for economic development, business support, development activity, tourism, regeneration funding, programmes and economic strategy. She wants to ensure every resident lives in a decent home as part of a thriving community. Sarah is married with two young children.
Jenny has a long history in the field of health and social care, particularly with people with disabilities. Jenny has a special interest in helping people stay living at home for as long as possible.
Jenny is one of the Erimus board members who are part of the Fabrick Group’s Audit and Risk Committee.
Nicky is a ward councillor with personal experience of being an Erimus Housing tenant and brings her experience of being in daily contact with residents to the Board. Nicky is interested in how different types of housing have an impact on people's lives.
Moira had a 34 year career in NHS management, including as the Chief Executive of two NHS trusts which provided specialist services to people with a mental health problem or a learning disability. Moira was awarded an OBE for services to the NHS.Her skills are in strategic management, leadership and the successful implementation of service and organisational change. Her spare time activities centre on caring for her growing extended family, as well as attending Middlesbrough Football Club matches as a season ticket holder.
Hugh has been involved in the regeneration of Middlesbrough for more then ten years. He is Chief Executive of Tees Valley Community Foundation, one the area’s largest charities, which is committed to making our area a better place for people to live. He feels that this is a commitment shared by Erimus and is looking forward to making this a reality.
Michelle Tierney Michelle was a tenant in Brambles Farm before moving into her current property in Pallister Park.
A mum to Keeley, Michelle has a BSc (Hons) degree in Death Investigation.
Previously involved with Stronger Together in East Middlesbrough, she wants to get communities more involved with Erimus Housing and hopes her role on the Board will help Erimus determine residents’ needs.
Pam McIvor Champion pool player Pam was born in Middlesbrough and has been a tenant since 1999.
The mum-of-one wants to help move Erimus Housing forward for both tenants and staff and has already been involved in a number of tenant focus groups.
Pam relishes new challenges and believes her experience as a tenant will help her fully understand how Erimus Housing works from both sides in her board member role.
Lawren has been a Erimus tenant since 2009.
Mum to Joshua, Lawren has completed two years at Middlesbrough College studying plumbing and is now pursuing a career in primary education and hopes to be attending Teesside University in September. Lawren currently volunteers with Sure Start.
Lawren hopes to increase her involvement within the community and help Erimus to address their residents’ needs.

Chris joined Erimus Housing in November 2004 as Director of Regeneration. She has worked in housing for more than 20 years and spent the majority of her career at Sunderland City Council where she held a variety of posts in development, policy and strategy. She joined Sunderland Housing Group as Head of Regeneration in September 2001.
As Managing Director, Chris is responsible for managing the business of Erimus Housing and working with the Board to ensure the vision for Erimus Housing is delivered. Chris is also part of the Fabrick Housing Group senior management team.
