Erimus Housing Inspection

Erimus Housing is now over three years old and we have plenty of achievements to celebrate since we began business in November 2004.

In that time, our successes include:

• Investing more than £78m improving our homes and neighbourhoods and we will be spending a further £27m by 2010.
• Opening a one-stop shop centre in the heart of Middlesbrough for our customers.
• Meeting housing need by building a range of properties for rent and shared ownership, helping people afford a home appropriate to their needs.

Our customers continue to be our priority and tenant satisfaction has risen steadily over the three years to 84%, which puts us close to the top organisations for tenant satisfaction in the country.

Now our work is to be inspected in greater detail. From 12th May, a team from the Audit Commission will be visiting Erimus Housing to look at the progress we have made.

The team will also be studying the services we provide and identify good practice, as well as any areas we need to improve.

We will be given a final report and a summary of the key findings will be published in the summer edition of Insight, the residents’ newsletter.
